Ultrasound sensors are used for detection of objects and the level of transparent and non-transparent liquids, in particular in the environments, where it is impossible to use optical sensors due to a substantial dirt level. The measurement principle of such sensors is based on the measurement of the period of time elapsed between the ultrasound signal emitted and the received echo reflected from an obstacle. This period of time is proportional to the distance from the object detected.
